Featured Yoga Class for July – Yoga Nidra

Hot Yoga Om Fort Walton Beach Yoga Nidra yoga class july 2020Join Paris this Sunday, July 26th from 5-6:30 pm for a special Yoga Nidra class which includes a 30-minuted slow-flow yoga class with 45-60 minutes of relaaxtion. Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice of guided meditation used to induce deep relaxation and clear blockages to our personal growth.

The yoga class will begin with a short gentle flow to prepare our bodies for peaceful tranquility and then you will rest on the floor for the practice.

Bring mats and any props you’d like to allow comfort in savasana pose, such as a pillow, blankets, eye pillow, etc. The class will be warm (around 80 degrees).

The Yoga Nidra class is taught by Paris Hollnagel. Paris has practiced yoga for 10 years and has recently finished her 200 RYT. As a holistic Health Coach, she recognizes the importance of unity of mind, body, breath and spirit. She believes in the beauty of yoga carrying over into every day life. “What we learn on the mat, we take with us on our journey through life.”

Paris practices Trancendental Meditation, is a licensed health coach and Reiki Master Practitioner as well as 200 RYT.

Join us at the Hot Yoga Om Class in Downtown Fort Walton Beach Florida. The cost for this special yoga class is $25 and you must register online.

A Message from Laura Tyree

Remember to breathe – take time to pause when you can. Take time to remember that your practice is a on-going practice, not just a practice on the mat. It’s a practice happening on the inside all the time, how you are relating to yourself, how you a relating to the world, how you are relating to all your current circumstances. Keep observing in that practice.

Accepting what’s happening right now, it’s tricky, but it allows us to relax. Releasing the resistance and focusing on what needs to happen next. What do I need to do next? How can I provide for myself? Self care! How can I provide for my family and the people who need me? Self-care!

We love you very much, thank you. Remember to sit, listen to beautiful music, read beautiful poetry, keep beauty in your life as we go through this tremendous change. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone. Namaste.

Radiant Heat. Radiant Life. We hope to see you soon!

Hypo-Allergenic Hot Yoga Classes

hot yoga studio classes plank march 2020Our far-infrared heating panels make our yoga classes hypo-allergenic and safe. The radiant heating panels at the Hot Yoga Om Studio do not push heated air through a room; therefore, you enjoy a quiet environment with no circulation of germs and airborne disease. The heating panels use a dry, sauna-like heat that resembles the heat from the sun, minus the ultraviolet rays. Hot Yoga Om panels provide safe, non-allergenic heat without any noise, dust, air movements or temperature fluctuations.

The health benefits of far-infrared heat to our bodies is astounding. Studies show that our body defense mechanisms are strengthened for enhanced function of the immune system. You will also experience increased detoxification as toxins are excreted with sweat. In addition, hot yoga classes and infrared heat reduces stress, offers a better night’s sleep, alleviates pain, improves heart health and more.

Battle the Summer Heat at the Hot Yoga Om Studio, Fort Walton Beach

Hot yoga might be one of the last things on your mind during the humid summer months. But did you know that practicing hot yoga during the hot summer months like July will help better acclimate you to the heat and humidity outside? If you practice hot yoga frequently, the summer heat won’t feel as hot to you and you might not need your air conditioning quite as much. During your hot yoga practice, your body cools itself down through sweat so when you walk outside after, the air doesn’t feel as hot either. But as always, hydration is the key – before, during and after your hot yoga practice.

Now is a great time to practice hot yoga to get your heart pumping, increasing your circulation, flexibility, mobility, strength and more. Join us at the Hot Yoga Om Studio in downtown Fort Walton Beach.
